Adjustment and Support Planning
Understanding what adjustments your child can access -and how those supports should look in real classrooms - can feel confusing and overwhelming.
Adjustment and Support Planning is designed to help families move from reports and recommendations to practical, meaningful support at school.

Honeycomb works alongside parents to review existing plans, documentation, and school processes, and to help translate your child’s needs into clear, reasonable adjustments that support learning, wellbeing, and participation in mainstream education.

This service focuses on clarity, collaboration, and ensuring adjustments are understood, purposeful, and achievable- not just written on paper.

What this service includes
-
Reviewing existing plans such as PLPs, ILPs, learning support plans, or adjustment documentation
-
Helping parents understand what adjustments are reasonable and appropriate within a mainstream school setting
-
Translating reports and recommendations into practical classroom supports
-
Identifying gaps between what is documented and what is actually happening day to day
-
Supporting families to prepare for discussions with schools about adjustments and support needs

This service is particularly helpful for families who have assessments or reports but are not seeing meaningful change in the classroom.
What this service is not
To ensure expectations are clear, Adjustment and Support Planning is not:

-
A diagnostic or assessment service
-
A replacement for therapists, psychologists, or medical professionals
-
A guarantee of specific adjustments or school decisions
-
A compliance or audit service for schools

Honeycomb’s role is to support families to understand, articulate, and advocate for adjustments in a way that is collaborative, respectful, and child-centred.
Final decisions regarding adjustments remain the responsibility of the school
Important Information
Honeycomb Education Advocacy and Support provides parent-focused advocacy, guidance, and education support services. Our role is to assist families in understanding educational processes, preparing for school meetings, and advocating for appropriate adjustments and supports within mainstream schooling.

Honeycomb does not provide medical, psychological, legal, or diagnostic services and does not replace the role of qualified health professionals, legal representatives, or school staff. Any information shared or support provided is intended to complement -not substitute - professional advice or school-based decision-making.

While Honeycomb advocates strongly for children and families, outcomes remain subject to school policies, departmental guidelines, and individual circumstances. As such, specific results cannot be guaranteed.

All advocacy is approached with respect, professionalism, and a commitment to the dignity and wellbeing of the child. Families remain the decision-makers for their child, and Honeycomb works alongside parents and caregivers to support informed, collaborative advocacy
