REASONABLE ADJUSTMENTS + SUPPORT PLANNING | BRISBANE + ONLINE

Turn the recommendations in your child’s reports into something you can confidently take to school.
You may already have valuable recommendations from an educational psychologist, occupational therapist, speech pathologist or another allied health professional.
The difficult part can be working out what those recommendations mean for school and how to bring them into a conversation with the people supporting your child.
Honeycomb helps organise education-relevant recommendations into a practical template of suggested reasonable adjustments you can take to your school or inclusion team.

You want the reports to do more than sit in a folder.
You want to know which recommendations matter for the school environment.
You want the language organised in a way you can actually work with.
You want to walk into the conversation with something more concrete than, “There was something in the OT report about this.”
And you want professional recommendations to have a clearer path from the report into the school discussion.
WHEN YOU HAVE THE INFORMATION BUT NOT THE BRIDGE
A report can contain exactly the information you need and still leave you wondering what to do with it.
Maybe you have several reports from different professionals.
Each one has observations, recommendations and language specific to that profession.
You can see that parts of them matter for school, but you are not sure what needs to be raised, how the recommendations connect or how to organise everything into something you can confidently take into a meeting.
That is the gap this service is designed to help with.

This is where allied health recommendations become easier to use in the education conversation.

Adjustment & Support Planning is designed for families who want help preparing what they will take into school themselves.
Bronnie can work from recommendations provided by professionals such as:
-
Educational psychologists
-
Occupational therapists
-
Speech pathologists
-
Other relevant allied health professionals
-
Education reports and information
-
Family observations and context
The goal is to draw together the recommendations that are relevant to school and organise them into a practical template of suggested supports or reasonable adjustments for you to discuss with the school or inclusion team.
For a child with diagnosed or imputed disability, information may already exist across Kindy, allied health professionals and the family.
This does not replace the professionals who made the recommendations.
It helps you bring their information into the education conversation in a more organised way.

Something you can actually put on the table.

Rather than arriving with several reports and hoping everyone has had time to connect the dots, you have a clearer summary of the relevant recommendations and suggested supports to work from.
PRACTICAL SUPPORT FOR THE NEXT CONVERSATION
The school still has its own responsibilities, processes and decision-making.
Honeycomb’s role is to help you organise the information you are bringing to that process.

WHICH SERVICE DO I NEED?
Adjustment planning and meeting advocacy solve different parts of the problem.
ONE
ADJUSTMENT & SUPPORT PLANNING
Choose this when you want Bronnie to work with the professional recommendations and reports you already have, then prepare a practical template you can take into school yourself.
TWO
SCHOOL MEETING ADVOCACY
Choose this when you want Bronnie to prepare for and attend the school meeting alongside you.
THREE
NEED BOTH?
For Prep, that may involve preparing recommendations for the new school.
That can make sense too.
For example, you may want help organising the recommendations first, then decide you would also like advocacy support when you take them into the school conversation.

HOW IT WORKS
Bring the reports. We’ll work out what needs to travel from the page into the school conversation.
1
Share the relevant reports and context
You provide the professional recommendations and education information that relate to your child.
2
I draw together the education-relevant recommendations.
I look at the information being provided by the professionals involved and organise the recommendations that may be relevant to your child’s support at school.
3
You receive a practical template to work from.
You can use that document and language when approaching your school or inclusion team about possible adjustments and supports.
If you later decide you would like me beside you in the meeting, School Meeting Advocacy can be discussed separately.

This is preparation for the school conversation, not a replacement for the school’s own plan.
Honeycomb does not diagnose your child or replace the allied health professionals who provided their recommendations.
The service also does not create the school’s formal learning or adjustment plan on the school’s behalf.
It gives you a clearer way to organise professional recommendations and bring them into the conversation.

PRACTICAL, EDUCATION-INFORMED SUPPORT
Because good recommendations are more helpful when families know how to bring them into the school conversation.
My education background helps me understand the language and structures schools use around learning, inclusion and support.
My role is to help organise the professional information you already have into something more manageable for the next conversation.
